Is it required to have a double major or a minor to graduate with a degree in Family Studies or Human Development and Family Relations?

No. If a student wishes to complete the Family Studies or Human Development and Family Relations program with no minor then they are required to take 54 hours of Family Studies courses - specified in the Program of Study.

If a student wishes to complete a minor with the Family Studies or Human Development and Family Relations program then they will need to take 45 hours of Family Studies courses - specified in the Program of Study. Typically the minor is in Psychology, Sociology or Anthropology.

Double majoring is not required.
